Hartland Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory

Milford Mavericks Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 15-0 loss to Hartland on Saturday.

Hartland scored on an error and a single by Delaney Robeson in the first inning.

The Milford Mavericks Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Hartland, giving up 15 runs on 14 hits and 8 errors.

Hartland got on the board in the first inning when an error scored one run for Hartland.

Rachel Everett got the win for Hartland. She allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking zero.

Olivia Seestadt took the loss for Milford Mavericks Varsity. She went three innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits.

Hartland tallied three home runs on the day. Madelin Skene had a four bagger in the second and fifth innings. Kelsey Zampa had a dinger in the fifth inning.

Hartland collected 14 hits on the day. Skene, Brianna Robeson, Hannah Mourad, Delanie Grundman, and Robeson each collected multiple hits for Hartland. Skene led Hartland with three hits in five at bats. Hartland didn’t commit a single error in the field. Brooke Cowan had the most chances in the field with nine.
